2005 Standings
Above, you will see the 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup series results. Areas highlighted are top 10 leaders of the particular category.
Tony Stewart had an impressive season with his surge of victories and consistend top 10 finishes in the middle of the season. His Brickyard 400 (Allstate 400 at the Brickyard) victory was voted the Most Dramatic Moment of 2005. Such an illusive racetrack for hometown driver Tony Stewart, he was extremely pleased to come out on top. Tony's fence climbing ritual earned him spotlights throughout the racing community. It also proved an excellent sponsor plug for The Home Depot. Stewart led the series in Top 5's and Top 10's.
With a victory at the final race of the season, Homestead Miami Speedway, Greg Biffle secured the top spot for the most victories of 2005.
Who else could you have picked besides Ryan Newman to win the most poles in 2005? With 8 Bud Poles, he simply has to figure out how to finish first of race day.
(My apologies for the incorrect figures in the graphic above. I will attempt to resolve them.)
